As a broadcaster, Ash is the resident travel expert on BBC One’s Morning Live, BBC Berkshire and Monocle Radio. He presents travel documentaries for Discovery Channel, and produces and presents defence & security documentaries for BBC Radio 4. He is a contributor and pundit for Monocle Radio, appearing on The Monocle Daily and The Globalist to analyse and explain the news, and report on travel and defence & security. He reports for From Our Own Correspondent on BBC Radio 4 and the World Service, and appears as an expert on Sky News, Channel 5, and Channel 4.

WRITING

Ash is the author of the multi-award winning book “Why We Travel: 12 Reasons to Travel - and What They Can Teach You About Life.” It was the Independent’s ‘Best Travel Book of 2024’.

PODCASTING

Ash produces and presents two podcasts, The First Mile and The Human Advantage, both if which you can learn about here. He also produced and presented Edgelands for The Telegraph, and he regularly features on many other podcasts.
